Allen Herman Erhart, 64, passed away peacefully at his home in Lockwood on Monday, March 4, 2019. He was born on Sept. 27, 1954, in Twin Falls, Idaho to Herman Joseph and Viola Darlene Erhart. He was our hero, a beloved father, brother, and a treasured friend.
Allen began his career as a sandblaster for Roscoe Steel & Culvert. In 1984 he completed welding school, and became a full-time welder for Beall Trailers in Lockwood. He later drove school bus for a few years, and eventually retired from his second career as a bus driver for Coach America in 2016.
Allen was married on Sept. 2, 1973 to Linda M. Dey. He is survived by his only daughter, Penny M. Erhart; his brother, Wayne Erhart, some extended family, and many friends.
What Allen loved most was being outdoors, hunting, fishing, and boating. He liked to ride motorcycles and watch football. He was a very skilled ballroom dancer. Allen had many skills and talents and the ability to fixing just about anything.
Visitation will be from 4 - 7 p.m. Thursday March 14, at Cremation and Funeral Gallery, 29 8th Street West in Billings. Funeral service will be on Friday March 15 at 2 p.m. at Cremation & funeral Gallery followed by graveside service at Yellowstone Valley Memorial Park, 3605 Grand Avenue. Friends and family are welcome to gather for a reception afterwards at the Red Door.
