Amelia Josephine Gangstad, age 77, died on Friday, Nov. 21, 2008, in Billings. She was born in Billings on March 7, 1931, to Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bury.
She married John Dorsey in 1948. Together, they had one son, John Thomas Dorsey. She worked as a checker in many grocery stores in the Billings area until her husband John passed away in 1970.
On April 26, 1971, she married Clifford Gangstad. Together, they worked on the farm near Froid during the summer and lived in Billings during the winter months until 1987, when they retired to Billings.
Amelia was raised in a large family who have all preceded her in death except her younger brother, Frank (Julie) Bury, who lives in Billings. Also surviving is her husband, Clifford Gangstad; son John T. (Debbie) Dorsey; grandsons, Travis (Kathlene) Dorsey, Thomas (Tamara) Dorsey; two great-grandsons, Tavyan and Dominic; three stepchildren, Perry Gangstad, Terry (Kathy) Gangstad and Susan Asay; six step-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 28, at Atonement Lutheran Church, 407 Wicks Lane and Lake Elmo. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
