Angela Rhae Hudson Fore Fredrickson, one big name for a larger than life personality. Our Angela went home at the break of dawn on Saturday, Oct. 30, 2010.
Angela was born on Jan. 31, 1981, to Nadine Ann Hudson and Lawson Dale Fore. Angela was her mother’s little sidekick. She rode on her mother’s shoulders until she was 6; she hated to walk, which remained true throughout her life. Angie loved music. Even before she could write words, she would sit and put scratches on a piece of paper and sing “her songs.” She was so creative and kind. She wept at sad movies and loved anyone and everyone who was down and out. She gathered “her people” and often brought them home. Angela had lifelong friends: Tanner, Freddy, Maria and Phil, Theo, just to name a few. She loved her people; all of us came to love them too.
In December of 1986, Angie’s mother married Wade Fredrickson. He was just 21 when he took on this little family. For the past 24 years, Wade has been dad. These last years, Angie often called Dad when she needed someone to talk with. On April 4, 2007, Angela gave birth to Theodora Mae Oksendahl, daughter of Angie and David Oksendahl. This was Angie’s greatest love of all. She was the most attentive mama to this little newborn child. It mattered to Angela that she was a good mom.
Angie loved to be onstage. She was in numerous plays at the Billings Studio Theatre. She was the assistant director for the Children’s play “Zink.” She also built sets for BST. Angie loved theater and theater people.
She was a warrior of heart, a defender of the downtrodden, a poet, and an extraordinary songstress. Everything she ever did was big. How we will miss this girl.
Angela is survived by her daughter, Theodora Mae Oksendahl; her mother and father, Wade and Nadine Fredrickson; her brother, David Wade and sister Hannah Jade; her grandmother, Sharon and Bill Harbers; her grandpa, Ron Hudson; aunts Terri (Dan) and Sara; Uncle Mike and Rhonda; her wonderful auntie Sheila, who was her friend and confidant right to the end; her other father, Lawson, whom she was so happy to get to know; her aunts, Debbie, Zinda, and Annie and Uncle Bubba (Dale) and Janice; her cousins, Mariah, Mikel, Malia, Ashley, Amber and Gina; Sandy Emmett and Jessica Putnam and numerous lifetime friends.
She was preceded in death by great-grandmother Anne Hudson; grandpa and grandma Stan and Mary Ellen Fredrickson. Rest in peace, baby girl.
Services will be at the Cremation and Funeral Gallery, 29 Eighth St. West, at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 5. A reception will follow. Please come.
