LEWISTOWN — Barbara Ann (Huotte) Knox passed away on Sept. 22, 2012. Born May 7, 1940, in Butte, she was the child of Albert and Mildred Huotte.
After suffering and conquering the ravages of polio, Barbara attended Fergus High, worked at the Judith Theater, twirled batons and did her best to avoid everything in school except Home Ec and Art Class. At a country dance, she caught the eye of Don Knox. Don found that she could make even him look good on the dance floor. The two became not only permanent dance partners, but life-long loves as well. Together they raised three children, Bonnie, John and Amy. Barb, affectionately known as “Grandma Cuda,” loved spending time with her grandchildren, Orry, Ashley, Brinna and Keeli, and sharing in the joy of their successes. Barb always stayed busy and spent her spare time drawing, painting, crafting, and most importantly, keeping Don supplied with her delicious pies.
A celebration of Barb’s life will be held at Celebration Community Fellowship Church, located on Highway 87 West, in Lewistown, on Friday, Sept. 28, at 2 p.m.
