Barbara Jean Berg (Kemp)
HUNTINGTON, Texas — Barbara “Barb” Jean Berg (Kemp), 72, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2014, at Grace Care Center in Lufkin, following a brief illness.
Barbara was born on Aug. 20, 1942, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, to the late William R. and Florence Kemp. She was the second of four children. Barbara graduated from Park High School in 1960 in Livingston, Mont. Originally from the Montana and Wyoming region, Barbara relocated to Texas in the spring of 2011 to be near her family.
Barbara was a wonderful mother and grandmother who did the best for her children and grandchildren. She loved them dearly and always supported them throughout life.

Barb, as most knew her, enjoyed life to the fullest! She was kind and compassionate, thoughtful and appreciative, and an honest person who was very loyal to those close to her.
Barbara is survived by her three children, Jason (Kim) Berg of Missoula, Mont., Jerry Berg of Victor, Mont., and Jodie (Eric) Polk of Etoile, Texas; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; along with her younger brother, David R. Kemp of Livingston.
Barbara was preceded in death by both of her parents, her brother Bill Kemp, and her sister Elsie Murdock.
Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Barbara’s life will be held in summer 2014. Expressions of sympathy may be sent in care of Jodie Polk to P.O. Box 328, Etoile, TX 75944.
