BIG TIMBER - Beryl Woolsey, 92, died Wednesday Jan. 7, 2009, at the Pioneer Medical Center in Big Timber. She was born May 28, 1916, one of eight children to Hank and Metha Christle in Royalton, Minn.
After graduating from high school, Beryl and her older sister Hazel attended Beauty College in Minneapolis.
She married Norm Thoen and they farmed in the Dagget Brook, Minn. area where their daughter Charlotte was born.
After Norm's death, Beryl and Charlotte moved back to Royalton where she opened a beauty shop, which she operated until her marriage to Jim Woolsey on Aug. 23, 1958.
Beryl and Jim ranched on the East Boulder, south of McLeod for many years until moving to Big Timber after the sale of the ranch.
Beryl was preceded in death by her daughter and five of her siblings. She is survived by her husband Jim, sister Margie Eaton, brother Richard and numerous nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial will be held in Royalton, Minn. at a later date.
