WHEATON, Ill. - Bradley "Brad" Wilson Corey, 39, formerly of Rapid City, S.D., died Tuesday, April 15, 2003, in a tragic motorcycle accident in Chicago.
He was born Jan. 21, 1964, in Billings, to Danial W. and Yvonne D. Corey. He moved to Rapid City with his family in December of 1975 and graduated from Stevens High School in 1982. Brad was an outstanding trumpet player. Many will remember him representing South Dakota in the McDonalds All-American Band. He attended Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Okla., where he met Elizabeth Tucker. They were married in August of 1989 and presently lived in Wheaton. Three precious children were born to that marriage. Brad was the Chief Financial Officer for Man Financial, an international commodities corporation with an office in Chicago.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth; daughter Rachael, age 9; daughter Meghan, age 5, son Douglas, age 2-1/2, all of Wheaton; his parents, Yvonne and Dan Corey; and brother, Terry of Rapid City; brother Alan of Des Moines, Iowa; sister Faith Godfrey of Sioux Falls, S.D.; three nephews; one niece; and his paternal grandparents, Richard and Lorraine Chyles of Mandan, N.D.
Brad was a much loved son, brother, husband, father and grandson.
Services were at 11 a.m. Monday, April 21, at Hultgren Funeral Home in Wheaton. Cards and memorials can be sent to 3346 Pinewood Drive, Rapid City, S.D. 57702 and all memorials will be forwarded to Focus on the Family ministries for a living memorial to Brad.
