Carol “Cookie” Bolin was born April 9, 1935, to John and Natalie Popovich. She was the second of three daughters (Pat and Sherrie). Cookie passed peacefully at home surrounded by family on Nov 12, 2018. She grew up in Billings attending Fratt and graduated from Central High School. She married Bob Bolin on Dec. 27, 1952, and was blessed with 3 wonderful sons: Bob, Brad and Brent.
Carol was employed with the Clerk and Recorder's office for 22 years and was a very talented decorator with a passion for arts, crafts and antiques. She was always “dressed to the nines.”
She had a passion for the outdoors, especially ice skating and according to dad, “they loved to ski with the kids, but couldn’t ski for #%$!.” She had a strong faith in the Catholic church as she volunteered for numerous activities and passed her faith along to her grandchildren. She was happiest hosting holidays, birthdays and any family gatherings.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents (John and Natalie) and her sister Sherrie Smith. She is survived by her husband Bob of 65 years; her sister, Pat (Jack) Ross; sons Bob (Chale), Sandy, Brad (Pam), Brent (Kathy); and her 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
We would like to give a special thanks to all the caregivers during her final years. Carol will always be remembered as a loving sister, friend, wife and mother.
