Beloved wife, Carol, 58, of Billings, passed away Saturday, April 23, 2011, at her home. She was born May 28, 1952, in Detroit, Mich., the daughter of Raymond and Helen (Kessinger) Gaabo, who preceded her in death.
On Dec. 21, 1985, Carol was united in marriage to James Jensvold in Colstrip. Carol worked as a computer operator for IBM, nursing assistant and homemaker. Carol dedicated her life to the Humane Society of the U.S. and Greenpeace. She was a member of the Arabian Horse Society and owned her Arabian Shazam. She loved all animals and was a rescuer of many in need. Carol's interest included listening to music, doll collecting, travel and horseback riding.
Carol is survived by her husband James; brothers, Ed Gaabo of Billings and Bernard Bown of Cheyenne, Wyo., and sister, Bernice Collins of Brighton, Mich., and Betty Ennis of Jacksonville, N.C. She is also survived by a close family friend, William Ciarlone of Cody, Wyo.; cousin Susan Young of Oklahoma City, Okla.; mother-in-law, Emelie Jensvold of Roundup, and sister-in-law Judy Shaw of Ithaca, N.Y. Also preceding her in death are sisters, Eva Quall and Lorretta May James.
A memorial service is pending. Carol requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Humane Society, 2100 L Street N.W., Washington, D. C. 20037 in her name.
