Cassandra Margaret Hart went to be with the lord on Nov. 3, 2010. Cassie passed away after a long fight with Leukemia. Cassie's Indian name is “blackdress” -Mo-Ohtavoesta-E, she was proudly given her Indian name, after her great-great-grandmother, Louise Hart. Cassie was born on a beautiful warm day June 21, 1986, in Crow Agency, Mont. Cassie was born to Raymond Hart Jr. and Martina Many Guns.

Cassie was an avid swimmer and loved to spend hours and hours in lakes or pool. Her favorite pasttimes were watching movies anywhere.

She had a portable DVD player that she took everywhere, so she could watch all her favorite movies. She loved to watch Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel TV series, she had the entire collection. She also loved to watch High School Musical, RENT, Twilight, Harry Potter, Dream Girls, and a variety of scary movies. Cassie also loved music, her favorite singer is Beyonce. She also loved writing in her notebook that she faithfully carried, along with her crossword book. She enjoyed traveling to powwows to play stickgame with her family.

Cassie was also an Olympian, she placed in many categories in Special Olympics; her dad had a wall full of medals. She competed in swimming, running, bowling, and walks. Cassie is a proud 2007 graduate from Browning High School. After graduation Cassie and her mom and brothers moved back to the city she loved, Billings, her home.

Cassie is survived by her sister Hiliary (Ira) Hart; two brothers Mike(Natesha) and Zachary; also her adoptive brother/cousin Wayne ManyGuns. Her maternal grandparents are Donna (Byron) French,Les and Gwen Munro; paternal grandparents are Raymond and Alfretta Hart Sr.;Aunts: Stephanie, Tiny, Sheryl, Joanne, March, Rena (Wayne), Karen (Stanford), Kayo (Melvin), Annemarie (Leanard), Darlene (Mike), Jeanie (Vincent), Marcy (Larry), Dolly (Jason); Uncles, Dale, Mike (Jodi), Marvin, Jerome, John Jr., Don (Rochelle), Leonard (Nadine), Kelly, Tracy (Tara); Grandparents Margie, Darlene Running Crane; Special Cousins Kourtney, Ms. Kay, Tom, Julius, Rose, Willey, Philisha, Charity, Jonathan, Nicole, Justin, CJ, Dusty, Quincy, Fancy, Tiger, Josh, Josie, Georgia, and Avery; a special sister Felecia YellowHawk; two very special nephews Daylon and Romeo No Runner (her best friends).

Preceding Cassie in death are grandparents Margaret and Tom Many Guns, Garette Running Crane, Jessie AmericanHorse, Louise Hart, Joe and Victoria WalkAlong, Fred and Carol Whitewolf, John and Doloris Wolf, Caroline Iron Heart, Jerome ShoulderBlade, Stephanie Currier, Cody and Cole Whiteman, Josh, Megan, and Courtney BearMedicine, Robby Beartusk, Jeremy Begay, and Valinda Reevis, Great Uncle Wayne Many Guns.

Cassie has a huge family that include: Hart, Many Guns, Whitewolfs, Walksalongs, American Horse, Running Crane, Munro, Stud Horse, Comes At Night, and Good Eagles.

She had many Family and Friends and we are sorry if we missed anyone. But we all know that Cassie was very loved and will be very missed. Cassie was Down Syndrome so she never learned to tell a lie or to be mean. She was Perfect here on earth and is now a perfect Angel.

Funeral Services for Cassie will be 11 a.m. Monday at Faith Chapel. Interment will be in Yellowstone Valley Memorial Park. Arrangements are in the care of Dahl Funeral Chapel.
