Cecil Stan Caldwell, 59, of Billings, passed away Dec. 13, 2003, at home. He was born Nov. 23, 1944, to Lee A. and Mildred R. Caldwell in Belleville, Ark. In 1956, his family moved to Chester where Cecil attended school and graduated from Chester High School in 1963. He was a member of the Chester High football team. Shortly after graduation, he moved to Billings.
Cecil married Charlotte Sanvik in 1965. They adopted Erik Lee in 1970 and Kris Robert in 1972. Cecil and Charlotte were divorced in 1978. In early 1979, he met Nancy Brumley and they were married on June 22 of that year. He became a second dad to Nancy's children, Tina and Travis.
At the time of his death, he was employed by the City of Billings Street Traffic Department and also worked part time as a driver for U.S. mail contractor Dallas Parkins.
Cecil enjoyed football (Raiders), NASCAR (Earnhardt Jr.), basketball (Lakers) and old movies.
He is survived by his wife Nancy; children, Tina (Cole) Kimber, Travis (Joey) Brumley, Erik Caldwell and Kris Caldwell; one brother, Harold (Diane) Caldwell, as well as many relatives in Arkansas, California Utah, and Hawaii. Cecil is preceded in death by his parents.
He was loved by all and will be greatly missed.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary. Cremation has taken place.
