Clara was born Aug. 7, 1911, in Glendive. The daughter of Charles and Anna Tillman, Clara was raised on the Tillman homestead, near Bloomfield and attended Seven Mile grade school. Clara was quite the tomboy and she loved the country, sometimes riding horses to school. She attended school in Glendive and Billings Polytechnic Institute.
After the death of her father in 1936, she took care of her mother in Glendive while working as a legal secretary. She met and fell in love with Tom Trocinsky, and they were married in 1941 in Billings where they resided. Clara remained at home and cared for her mother until the time of her death in 1946. Her husband Tom, a railroader, was transferred to Mandan, N.D., in 1947 where they resided until 1949 at which time they were transferred back to Glendive with the Northern Pacific Railroad.
Clara was a generous, loving person who was always giving and thinking of other people. She loved being with family and friends, her many nieces and nephews and grandnieces and nephews. Hosting family holiday gatherings and playing cards were her delight. She loved winning at cribbage. Clara was an avid volunteer and an active member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Glendive. She also enjoyed traveling, music and any occasion for a good time.
Clara loved the Lord and lived her life in service to Him. She was an example to her family and a role model. Although Clara and her husband did not have any children, she was a guiding light in the lives of her nieces and nephews. She will always be loved and truly missed by her family.
Clara was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Tom, her dear friend Val Pfau and her brothers Clarence and Harry Tillman. Her loving family includes nieces and nephews Cherylee and Mike Popiel of Bozeman and their children Brian Popiel and Lindsey Mercier, Charles and Loretta Tillman of Nampa, Idaho, and their children Rich, Randy and Jon Tillman, Sharon Reil of Billings and her children Matthew Reil, Desiree Gauer, Clint Reil, Johanna Fields, Julie Hugelen, Becky Reil and Anthony Reil, Jerry and Cindy Tillman of Bloomfield and their children Laurie Tillman, Debbie Simmons, Chris Greiner and Cindy's three boys, Adam, Pat and Greg, Thomas Tillman of Mohaje, Ariz., and his children Troy and Travis Tillman, and Patricia and Jim Reynolds of Billings and their children Rob Kubesh, Blaine Kubesh and Rachel Huncovsky, and numerous great-great-nieces and nephews.
