It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Delet Leath Madler (Synder, Smart) on Sunday, June 30th in Billings after a long battle with Multiple System Atrophy. Delet was born in Great Falls on Feb. 27, 1950 to Fern and Dave Snyder. She spent her childhood with her five siblings, Dave, Leah Myonne, Sunee, Steve, and Ember in eastern Montana, eventually moving to Billings where she graduated from Senior High School in 1968. Shortly after graduating, she married and began her family with John Smart. They had four children, Jacqueline, Dana, Aron, and Craig. Delet and John owned and operated Billings BluePrint for many years. They later divorced. In 2006, Delet met and fell in love with Glenn Madler, and they married on Oct. 21, 2011. They remained happily married, caring for each other in sickness and in health, until her passing. Glenn selflessly cared for Delet throughout her illness and gave her every ounce of his love. For twelve years, Delet worked with Lockwood Fire Department gaining a second family and caring deeply for 'her boys'. Delet was preceded in death by her father, Dave Snyder and infant daughter, Dana Renee. She is survived by her loving husband, Glenn Madler, her mother, Fern (Dana) Moore, her children, Jacqueline (Garett) Sorrells, Aron (Kelli) Smart, Craig (Amanda) Smart, her bonus children, Jesse (Lauren) Madler, Gus Madler, and Kelsey Madler, her loving siblings, Dave Snyder, Leah (Peter) Talbot, Sunee Wester, Steve Snyder, and Ember (Don) Divers, and grandchildren, Paighton and Saryn (Jacqueline), Elijah, Isabelle, and Amelia (Craig), Avery (Jesse), Rylan, and Gia (Gus), and a very large extended family. Services will be held Friday, July 5th at 4 pm at Heights Family Funeral Home. Memorials can be sent to Heights Family Funeral Home at 733 West Wicks Lane, Billings, MT 59105. Please join us in celebrating Delet’s amazing life.
