Try 1 month for $5

LEWISTOWN - Dolores Jeanne (McCord) Green, 70, went to rest peacefully to be with her husband and daughter on Sunday, May 4, 2003, in her home surrounded by her loving family following a courageous six month battle with cancer.

She was born on May 22, 1932, at Broadus to Clifford and Martha (Washington) McCord.

She attended and graduated from Klein High School.

On Aug. 11, 1949, at Jackson Hole, Wyo., she was united in marriage to Donald Green. He preceded her in death in 1983.

She and her husband owned and operated Green Oil Field Service. She continued the business after his death and until her retirement several years ago. She was a member of the Methodist Church, Order of Eastern Star, and the National Federation of Independent Business. Dolores taught Sunday School and enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles, Yahtzee, and spending time with her family and grandchildren. She was a resident of Melstone, Roundup, and had resided in Lewistown the past five years.

For those who were blessed to be a part of our mother and grandmother's life, may you remember her with joyous love and kindness. She will be missed dearly and her life will live on through all who love her.

Dolores is survived by her daughters, Pamela Smith (Charles Bristol) and her children, Tanner, Tyler, and Bradee of Lewistown; Donelle (Johnny) White and their children, Delani and Jace of Crawfordville, Fla.; and a son, Richard Green and his children, Joe of Roundup and Kolby of Great Falls; additional grandchildren, Brian Stewart, Todd Stewart, William Stewart, Scott Stewart, and Ben Stewart; seven great-grandchildren; and sons-in-law, Bill Stewart of Lewistown and Dan Smith of Atlanta, Ga.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald and daughter, Cathy Anne Stewart.
