HARDIN — Donald Gene Watson, 72, of Hardin, passed away Thursday, Nov. 18, 2010, in the Big Horn County Memorial Nursing Home.
He was born Oct. 3, 1938, in Custer County, Neb., a son of William and Veronica Wolf Watson. He grew up and received his education in Montana
Don married Sharon Redding and was later divorced. He married Victoria Redden on Feb. 26, 1976, in Sheridan, Wyo., and the couple made their home east of Hardin.
He serviced his country honorably from 1960 to 1962 in the US Army. Don worked as a truck driver and most recently at the Sarpy Creek coal mine, before an injury forced him into early retirement.
Don was an accomplished wood worker, who loved to camp and fish.
His parents; wife Victoria and son Wayne preceded Don in death.
Survivors include his daughter Salenna (Marlo) Moehr; his son Ronnie Watson; his sisters Margarita Richard, Mary Oedekoven, Terry Cook and Sharon Denniston; his brothers Dave, Bob and Bill Watson; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 24, in the Bullis Funeral Chapel. Inurnment with military honors will follow in the Little Big Horn Battlefield National Cemetery. Bullis Mortuary has been entrusted with the arrangements.
