Donald Irving Bentley, 75, of Billings, died Saturday, Jan. 14, 2012, at his home with his family by his side.
He married Erma Reintsma on June 12, 1960. Donald was born in Sheffield, Mass., to Walter and Isabelle Bentley. He had two brothers, Arnold and Bob. Donald had two daughters Debbra Law of North Carolina, Diana of Connecticut, one son Raymond Bentley of Billings, he also had a step-daughter Carolyn Perze, three step-sons Ronald Micheal of Billings and James Reintsma of Minnesota.
Donald joined the Air Force in 1953 retired in 1973 from Malmstrom Air Force base in Great Falls. He moved to Billings and worked at Montana State University for 20 years. He loved spending time with family and friends. He liked watching sports, playing cribbage and golf with his friends. Don had eight grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren and loved and enjoyed spending time with all of them.
He was a man of life and happiness, and he will be missed by all.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 20, at Smith's Downtown Chapel, 925 S. 27th St., in Billings.
Interment with military honors will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. A reception will follow the graveside service at the chapel.
Visitation will start at 9 a.m. Thursday.
