Dorothy Mae Wintermute passed away peacefully on December 23, 2018, at the age of 91.
Dorothy was born on May 25, 1927, in Savage, to Axel and Violet Jorgenson. She was their only child. Dorothy graduated from high school in Savage, and then attended business college. Over the years Dorothy had several jobs and ultimately retired from the Billings Gazette in the early 80’s.
On May 16, 1954, Dorothy married Robert Wintermute in Sidney, had children Debbie and Roger and was blessed with just over 43 years of marriage together. Dorothy and Robert spent most of their married life living in Billings.
Dorothy was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She truly loved her family and selflessly provided for them in every way. Dorothy will be greatly missed by all family and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Robert and her parents. Dorothy is survived by her two children, Debbie Baker and her husband Russell, Roger Wintermute and his wife Teresa; and three grandchildren, Heather Baker, Rachael Wintermute, Michael Wintermute and his wife Sarah.
Dorothy requested no memorial be held; however, the family will have a Celebration of Life gathering this summer for close family and friends.
