BOZEMAN — Elda Kinyon Bucher, 87, passed away Nov. 28, 2010, at her home in Bozeman, surrounded by her family.
She was born Aug. 19, 1923, to Irven and Thressa Jane (Fennell) Kinyon, in Grandview, Toole County, Mont. She grew up on the family farm near Galata, attended the Tiel School, and graduated from Galata High School in 1941 in Galata, Toole, County, Mont.
She worked for the Agricultural Adjustment Administration, the Toole County Clerk and Recorder, the Shelby Abstract Company in Shelby, and H & R Block in Bozeman.
She married Robert Bucher on Nov. 1, 1947, in Shelby, and lived in Shelby, Havre and Billings before settling in Bozeman.
Her son, David, her parents, four brothers and three sisters preceded her in death.
Elda is survived by her husband, Bob, of Bozeman; daughter Roxann (Steve) Hokanson of Billings; daughter, Rochelle Bucher of Bozeman; sister, June Eide of Galata; two grandchildren, Lareesha Hokanson of Billings and Leland Hokanson, of San Jose, Calif.; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 3, at Hope Lutheran Church. Visitation at Dokken-Nelson Funeral Service will be from 12 noon to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 2. Private family graveside service will be in Sunset Hills Cemetery.
