Eldon "Keith" Fryer Jr. passed away peacefully at home with his family Jan. 4, 2012.
He was born in Falls City, Neb., on Oct. 24, 1961, to parents Eldon Keith Fryer and Barbara Humphrey Fryer.
He was a hard-working man who kept busy as a mechanic and a carpenter. He always had to be fixing something and was referred to as a jack-of-all-trades.
He is survived by his wife and best friend, Sandra Jacobs Fryer. They were married leap year day, Feb. 29, 1996. He enjoyed telling people that he has only been married for three years, even though they were soul mates since 1990. Together they enjoyed attending NASCAR races, camping, fishing and boating. Stock car racing was a fulfilling hobby for him. Together with his father, Eldon Keith Fryer Sr., as his main crew chief, they repelled black flags one race at a time.
Keith is preceded in death by his mother, Barbara; his daughter, Tishina; and his grandparents.
He is survived by his father, Eldon Keith Fryer; his brother, Mitch (Dori) Fritz; and his sisters, Lori (Gary) Willis and Lisa (Alan) McOmie. He is also survived by his daughter, Heather (Josh) Diamond, and his six grandchildren, Trenton, Colby, Dominic Diamond, Laquea, Chrystina Hall and Emma Welters, as well as many nieces and nephews. He will also be remembered by his many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Services will be held Monday, Jan. 9, 2012, at 10 a.m. at Smiths Funeral Chapel, 925 S. 27th St., Billings, MT 59101.
