Ervin C. Sayler died peacefully on Saturday, May 11, 2013, at the Cedarwood Villa in Red Lodge, Mont., at age of 88. He was born on Dec. 29, 1924, in Underwood, N.D. His parents were Solomon and Karoline Sayler.
Preceded in his death were his sisters Eva, Frieda, Elsie, Glendora, Helen, and a brother Ruben. Ervin is survived by a sister, Leora Bradford of Sun City, Calif.
Ervin was married to Ellen (Melnechuck) Sayler in 1952. He is survived by two sons, Michael G. of Westminster Calif., and Thomas J. of Sun City; and a stepdaughter, Carol (Breshears) Graves of Billings.
Ervin worked 27 years at the Pierce Packing Co. in the city of Billings. During his lifetime, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and also, he and his wife Ellen were involved in and started the Golden Eagles Archery Club.
For the last 20 years, he has had a loving relationship with his partner Betty Kuntz, whom he met at the Little Flower Church.
Funeral services will be held at the Little Flower Church at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 15. Refreshments to be served after the cemetery services.
May he rest in peace, and he will be missed.
