Longtime Billings resident, Ervin R. Leuenberger, 84, passed peacefully away in his sleep on Monday, Sept. 3, 2012.
Erv was born to Martin and Caroline (Loendorf) Leuenberger on April 4, 1928, in Vida. Erv grew up working on the family farm. He served in the Navy and received an honorable discharge in 1946. Erv married Evelyn Stai on April 4, 1949; from that union one son was born. They later divorced. In 1969 he married Patricia Myers.
In the following years, Erv and Pat traveled the country from Surprise, Ariz., to Bozeman, and from Billings to Ferndale, Wash. Erv worked many interesting jobs during his life, from being a cowboy in Arizona to working for the Atomic Energy Commission in Las Vegas. Erv and Pat have called Billings their home since 1979.
Erv’s hobbies included gardening, woodworking, fishing, and playing with his dog, Pepe.
Erv is survived by his wife, Pat; son Boyd; stepchildren Kevin, Melaine and Kim; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter.

Cremation has taken place. Per Erv’s wishes, no services will take place.
