MANHATTAN — Eva R. Andren, 88, passed away Sunday, Feb. 6, 2011, at Parkhaven Retirement Community, Manhattan. Eva was born April 9, 1922, in Cody, Wyo., to Charles and Dorothy (Harrison) Higgins. She grew up in Powell and Cody, Wyo.
She married Clarence C. Andren on Oct. 16, 1940, in Red Lodge. They made their home in Cody.
In 1949, the couple moved to Montana to the North Meadow Creek Ranch near McAllister. They sold the ranch and moved to Waterloo in 1958, where they ranched until retiring to Belgrade in 1983.
Eva was a ranch wife and helped in all the chores of raising cows, pigs, chickens and sheep, and driving tractor to help during haying. During retirement, she enjoyed reading, gardening, crocheting and cooking.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Eva is survived by her two sons, Evan C. (Sally) Andren and Paul W. (Joan) Andren of Whitehall; six grandchildren, Jennifer, Heidi, Travis, Holly, Hope and Aaron; and four great-grandchildren, Reigan, Bailor, Tucker and Hunter.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 10, at Dokken-Nelson Sunset Chapel, Bozeman. Visitation will be prior to the service, from 12 noon to 1 p.m.
