LAS VEGAS, Nev. — Jerry passed away on Feb. 23, 2014, in Las Vegas due to complications of diabetes.
He was born on Nov. 4, 1947 in Glasgow, Mont., the oldest child of Clarence and Mae Buechler. Jerry spent his early childhood in Glasgow and his teenage years in Billings, graduating from Billings West High. Following his graduation from the University of Montana, he moved his young family to Elko, Nev., where he worked for several years as a CPA. His career took him back to Montana, working in Billings and Cutbank. He eventually returned to Nevada, where he continued to work up until his retirement last fall.
Jerry was a hard worker who did not allow his illness to hold him back. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and following the Atlanta Braves. Golf was his passion, and he especially enjoyed playing with his friends at Pryor Creek. He also enjoyed travel and took several wonderful trips to China, seeing the major sights there and getting to know his wife's extended family.
