Grace Dorr Bowman passed away Feb. 9, 2019. She was born in Glasgow to parents, Ross and Evelyn Dorr who raised their family on a farm/ranch south-east of town. Grace was a devoted mother to her son Terry and daughter Jacquelee, and they had a special love bond that never wavered. Her life was made complete by her sister Kay whose love and strength was constant in her life, her brother Lee Ross, sister in-law Barbara, and their children with whom she shared many wonderful memories, her cousin Lois who she loved like a sister, Brenda, who she adopted in her heart as a daughter, and the many dear friends who warmed her heart and brought so much joy to her. It was heartbreaking for Grace, Jacquelee and the family when her son passed away in 2013 from a heart attack.
Grace loved working with people, so marketing and public relations came naturally to her, she was a passionate employee and volunteer. She began volunteering in the community, state and with her children’s activities when her eldest child started school, when Terry and Jacquelee were growing up, she often smiled and said "I volunteered every time the children raised their hands and said ‘my mother will.' " She loved that her children were confident their mother would always come through no matter what the request entailed.
The family would like to thank Dr. Gerstner and his staff, the staff at Aspen Meadow, and the Advance Care, for their comfort and care, and the dear friends that showed so much compassion and understanding. Mother was cremated by Smith Funeral Chapels.
To share a condolence or a memory you have of Grace, please send them to 1736 Buffalo Trail Rd. Laurel, MT 59044. The children will deeply appreciate reading about the part of their mother’s life she shared with you.
