Hazel E. Osness, 99, of Billings, passed away Nov. 24, 2008, at Valley Health Care Center in Billings.
She was born March 2, 1909, in Omaha, Neb., to Orren and Ruby Gift. She attended high school in Baker and Glendive, and attended Billings Business College. In 1930, she married Edwin G. Osness, an architect, in Baker.
Hazel was a longtime member of Eastern Star, Extension Club, and was active in United Methodist Church organizations throughout her life.
Survivors include her daughter, Betty Kelly (John) of Billings; son Bob Osness (Georgia) of Maple Valley, Wash.; grandchildren Lorna (Steve) Lawton, Jerry (Melodie) Kelly, David (Val) Kelly and Karen Osness; as well as several great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 1, at First United Methodist Church in Billings. The casket will be open at church prior to the service only. Interment will follow at Huntley Cemetery.
