Herman Debus, 87, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2019. He was born Jan. 10, 1932 in Worden to Phillip Debus Jr. and Katherine Knaub Debus, both deceased. He celebrated 63 years of marriage to Nora Bentz Debus before her passing on Feb. 6, 2017.
Herman served in the U. S. Army and served overseas during the Korean War. He farmed in Shepherd for many years before moving to Billings in 1974, at which time he worked at SuperValu Foods until his retirement. He enjoyed fishing and rafting the Yellowstone River with his brother Robert.

Herman is survived by his daughter Linda McNeill (Tom) and son Douglas Debus (Beth) and granddaughter Brooklynne McNeill, the light of his life. He is also survived by his brother Robert (Patricia) and sisters Phyllis Kober and Erlene Deem, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members. He was preceded in death by his brothers Lawrence Debus and Donald Debus.
A joint graveside service and celebration of life for Herman and Nora will be held at a later date. Cremation has taken place.
