Ida Louise Peterson Brush died peacefully at her home with family on March 21, 2014.
She was born on Nov. 5, 1923, in Edgar, to Carl and Tena Peterson. She went to school in Edgar, Hardin and Shepherd. She transferred to Shepherd High School in her senior year. She was a member of the first graduation class on May 21, 1941, of which she was the Salutatorian of her class. After graduation, she stayed at home to help on the family farm. After the war, she moved to Billings and worked at the Billings Laundry and Dry Cleaning Company.
She married Roy J. Brush in 1947. They had four children. As Roy was a semi-truck driver and gone most of the time, she became a stay-at-home mother. She helped take care of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well. She loved her flowers and gardening.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy; son Larry; daughter Yvonne; grandson Troy; granddaughter Rayna; five brothers, Clarence, Leland, Ernie, Melvin, Myron; and three sisters, Cynthia Coombs, Mae Zeeb and Elda Bennett.

Also by her special “adopted” daughter, Anita Gigoux.
The family extends a special thank you to Rocky Mountain Hospice for their care and concern for our family during this time. Donations can be sent to Rocky Mountain Hospice or a charity of one’s choice.
