LOVELL, Wyo. — Ivalee Meeker, affectionately known as “Red,” was born on Aug. 22, 1929. She was surrounded by her family when she left this world to join Jesus on Nov. 6, 2010.
She found her forever home in her teen years, when she moved to the Big Horn Basin. Red met the love of her life when she was 16 years old and married Wes on Jan. 20, 1953. Together, they had six children: Randy (Tami) Meeker of Columbus, Mont., Nila (Tom) Mulford of Billings, Kelly (Ron) Massine of Lovell, Mark Meeker (died in infancy), Terri (Mike) Garrett of Anacortes, Wash., and Cole Meeker of Oakland, Calif. Ivalee's greatest joy in life was giving love to her children, 15 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Ivalee touched many lives with her courage and determination. She personified gentleness, hope and encouragement. Her kindness, unconditional love and attitude of gratitude will shine a light on our lives as long as we live. Ivalee loved Jesus and found her greatest hope in Him.
Services will be held at Haskell Funeral Home on Saturday, Nov. 13, at 1 p.m.
