Our precious Judy entered eternity with the Lord on Feb. 4, 2011. Her battle with cancer was won with grace and courage.
Judith Ann Mowrey was born Nov. 9, 1945, in Fargo, N.D. Her family moved to Billings, where she attended Trinity Lutheran School and graduated from Billings Senior High.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Lydia Stern; and her brother, William Eugene Stern. Survivors include her sisters, Mary Lou Mutchler (Norm) of Billings, Irene Montgomery (Ron) of Las Vegas, Rose Lindsey of Basin, Wyo.; her brother, Robert Stern of Lexington, Neb.; and her stepdaughters, Stephanie Mowrey Macceca and Michelle Mowrey Wood. She also has numerous nieces and nephews who loved her and will miss her.

Judy enjoyed attending concerts, basketball and soccer games, you name it, she was always there for support. She loved traveling and, last summer, spent two weeks in Germany with her church family, this being her second trip to Europe. She was well-versed in many subjects due to her experiences in life. Her hobbies included bridge club, church altar guild, church choir and being a Green Bay Packers fan.
We will greatly miss her wonderful smile and her example of servanthood. She challenged us, who were with her near the end, to show Christ's love through kindness. She would also want to thank her family and friends for all their love and care. We love you, Judy!
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 10, at Trinity Lutheran Church.
