Larry Goodyear, 61, of Billings, passed away unexpectedly May 14, 2013, of a heart attack.
He was born May 26, 1951, at Pepperrell Air Force Base in St John's, Newfoundland. He was the son of Chesley Goodyear and the late Kathleen Goodyear. Larry spent most of his childhood in Europe and after graduation he followed in his father's footsteps and joined the Air Force. After his discharge, he joined Diebold and worked there until retirement. He then took a job managing a small motel, a job he enjoyed because there was always something to fix. He will be remembered by his family as a jack of all trades. He was able to fix anything from a clogged drain to complicated electrical work. Larry enjoyed reading especially science fiction and could polish off a 1,000-page novel in just a few sittings. Dad, we love you and will always miss you.
He is survived by his father Chesley Goodyear; brother, Rick Goodyear; children Mark and DeAnna Goodyear; and his granddaughter Jade Goodyear, all of Billings.
Per his wishes, there will be no funeral. His ashes will be retained by his children and spread at Lake Powell Utah on a later date.
