STORY, Wyo. — Lawrence Lee Jacobsen, born Feb. 18, 1953, to Clifford and Joan (Goodale) Jacobsen, passed away at his home in Story, at the age of 58, on March 24, 2011.
He was working as a conductor for BNSF Railroad with 32 years on the job. His interests included music, drinking wine, hiking, visiting National Parks, fishing and camping. The thing he most enjoyed was spending time with his only granddaughter, Rylee Ruth, who always brought the biggest smile to his face.
Larry is survived by his son, Blaine (Jessie) Jacobsen of Shell; daughter Dacey (Chris) Willoughby of Seattle; brothers Dennis (Donna) Jacobsen of Sheridan, Gary (Janet) Jacobsen of Glendive, Mont., Tom Jacobsen of South Korea; mother and father Cliff and Joan Jacobsen of Phoenix; granddaughter Rylee Ruth Jacobsen of Shell.
A viewing will be held at Kane Funeral Home on Saturday, April 2, from 1 to 3 p.m., followed by a celebration of life at the Wagonbox in Story, from 4 to 7 p.m. Both are open to the public.
Larry was a father, brother, son, and friend to many, and will be greatly missed.
