On Jan. 4, 2019, our mother, Louise Neff went to sing in the heavenly choir with her daughters by her side.
Louise Neff was born in Greybull, Wyoming, Aug. 15, 1930 to William and Elizabeth Spencer. She joined her big brothers, George and Earl.
In 1941, the family settled in Fromberg. Louise attended Fromberg High School where she played basketball and graduated in 1948. She attended Colorado Women’s College in Denver. While in Denver she met Ronald Neff. They were married June 22, 1951 and had three children, Kathie, Bill and Sheri.
In 1977, they moved to Joliet and moved to Laurel in 1990.
Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Ron; sons Bill and Lawrence; parents William and Elizabeth Spencer; and brothers George and Earl Spencer.
She is survived by daughters Kathie (Jim) Yates of Chinook, Sheri Phillips of Laurel; grandchildren Stacey (Kim) Yates of Colstrip, Jake (Keri) Yates of Billings, Allison Neff (C.J. Mitchell) of Hardin, Andy Phillips of Laurel and Sam Phillips of Billings. Louise also had many great-grandchildren whom she loved dearly. She is also survived by daughter-in-law Sara Neff of Billings.
