COLUMBUS - Margaret Woltermann passed away Jan. 23, 2009, at the Stillwater Community Hospital in Columbus.
Margaret was born in Columbus Sept. 13, 1920, to Jacob and Ida (Ridnour) Huck. She attended Columbus schools and was the first of three generations to graduate there. She married Art Woltermann Aug. 13, 1938. They farmed on Shane Creek until Nov. 1954 when they moved to Columbus.
Margaret worked for Pete's Meat Market, Dr. Bilden, DDS., and the Line Drug.
Margaret and Art square danced and raised beautiful gardens and flowers. She started her plants from seed and received numerous ribbons from the Garden Club Shows.
She was preceded in death by her husband Art of 67 years; her parents Jake and Ida Huck; brothers Richard and Earl Huck and sister Alma Kern.
She is survived by two daughters: Wanda (Bob) Eastlick and Linda (Butch) Kurtz; grandchildren Brenda Eastlick, Kristy (Nick) Kronfuss, Greg Eastlick, Tom (Jenny) Kurtz and Dustin (Annie) Kurtz. She had three great-grandchildren Nicole, Brett and Meghan Kronfuss. Also surviving is one brother Jacob Stanley (Jean) Huck.
The family extends a heartfelt thank-you to the doctors and staff at the Stillwater Community Hospital for the years of care they provided Mom.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m., Wednesday Jan. 28, at the Community Congregational Church in Columbus, with interment in Mountain View Cemetery, Columbus. Visitation will be held 5-8 p.m., Tuesday Jan. 27, at Smiths Funeral Chapel in Columbus.
