LODGE GRASS — Margaret Miller Torske passed away on March 10, 2019, from complications due to a recent heart attack. Margaret Bernice was born April 17, 1924, to William Wiggins and Alma Hansen Wiggins on the home ranch at Flat Willow. She attended schools at Flat Willow and graduated in 1941 from Winnett High School in Winnett. Margaret then attended Billings Business College in Billings and afterward was hired at the Billings Union Stockyards Company. It was there that she met her future husband Walter R. Miller Jr. (Junior). They were married July 19, 1946, and returned to his family ranch at Lodge Grass where she lived until after his death on April 5, 1973. From this union was born two sons: Paul and Wade. Margaret then married Walter C. Torske on Jan. 15, 1974, in Hardin where she lived on his family ranch near Hardin. Walter passed away February 25, 2001. Later on she moved back to the ranch at Lodge Grass. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Tommy, Billy and Stanley Wiggins; both husbands; stepsons, Walter L. Torske and Darrel Torske; special sister-in-law Bernice Stark; and close friend Helene Miklovich.

Margaret is survived by her sons Paul (Myrna) Miller, Wade (Joan) Miller of Lodge Grass; stepdaughter Kay Ann Nielsen (Jan) and their daughters Anne Marie and Liv of Sunndal, Norway; Mary Torske of Hardin; grandchildren, Jeanne Torske of Hardin, Jamie Olson (Travis) of Wright, Wyoming, Lyle Torske of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; one great-grandson, Carter John Olson; numerous nephews and nieces; and special "Dance Ranch" friends.

The family would like to thank Dr. Edward Malters, Dr. Ashley Quanbeck, Dr. David Mark and all the staff at Heritage Acres, Big Horn County Memorial Hospital and St. Vincent Hospital for the wonderful care given to Margaret.

Memorials may be given to the Big Horn County Museum, Box 1206A, Hardin Montana, 59034.

In accordance with Margaret's wishes of no funeral or services, a gathering in memory of Margaret will be held at Bud's Catering in Hardin on Sunday, March 17 from 1 - 3 p.m.
