COLUMBUS — Miriam Louise (Pelton) Weiler, 89, of Columbus, passed away on Sept. 19, 2012. She was born in Fishtail on Sept. 2, 1923, to Charles and Gladys Pelton.
Mim attended West Rosebud School where she rode a horse to and from school for eight years, not her favorite transportation. She graduated from Absarokee High School in 1941 and Billings Deaconess School of Nursing in 1944.
Mim married Fred J. Weiler at the family home on the West Rosebud, March 5, 1945. Two children completed their family. Mim and Fred were married 63 years when Fred passed away Dec. 25, 2008.
Mim was active in the community after moving to the ranch north of Columbus. She was an active member of the Congregational Church, Women’s Fellowship, Order of the Eastern Star, Stillwater Historical Society, and CowBelles. Mim was a hard worker and an excellent cook.
Mim is survived by her son John (Connie) Weiler; daughter Brenda (Ron) Wyatt; grandchildren Mariah Weiler, Whitney (Clint) Peters, Jillian Wyatt and Gregory Wyatt, great-grandchildren Ethan Peters and Zoey Peters and Eve Snodgrass.

Funeral services will be held Monday, Sept. 24, at 2 p.m.; Community Congregational Church in Columbus. Burial will follow at the Rosebud Cemetery, Absarokee.
