CULBERTSON - Molly (Wagner) Damm, 83, passed away in the Roosevelt Memorial Nursing Home in Culbertson on Thursday, April 25, 2002. She was born to Jacob and Molly Wagner on May 21, 1918, in Culbertson.
Molly was raised and schooled at the "Russian Settlement" north of Culbertson.
On Sept. 14, 1936, Molly married Alex J. Damm in Poplar. They then made their home in the Culbertson Community.
Molly was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church.
Family and friends would often gather at her home to enjoy her delicious German cooking. She enjoyed cooking as well as quilting and crocheting. Other favorite pastimes of Molly's included fishing, gardening and playing cards.
She was preceded in death by her infant daughter Shirley; two brothers, Jacob Wagner and David Wagner; and two sisters, Elsie Hauck and Lilly Miller.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Alex J. Damm; two sons, Robert J. Damm and his wife Marie of Culbertson, and Leroy A. Damm and his wife Janet of Pullman, Wash.; one brother, Harold Wagner of Missoula; one sister, Sue Green of Modesto, Calif.; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Visitations will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. on Monday, April 29, at the Everson-Clayton Memorial Chapel in Culbertson. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 30, at 10 a.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Culbertson, with Rev. Al Beyer officiating. Interment will be in the Friedens Germeinde Cemetery near Froid. Everson-Clayton Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
