Natalie Marshall passed away June 4, 2019, in Billings surrounded by her family. While she had been fighting cancer for several years, it became increasingly aggressive the last months of her life. Born in August 1951 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Natalie moved to the United Sates when she was nine and was granted her citizenship at the age of 22. Natalie lived with her family in Buenos Aires, San Francisco, Sacramento, San Luis Obispo, Galveston, Minneapolis, Rigby, and Idaho Falls. She lived in many western places, but while her heart yearned for widespread travel she belonged in Billings. It was her home for 25 years, and she loved it there. Natalie was known throughout her life as a hard worker, a friend to many, and always interested in lives of others. She is survived by the prides of her life Nicole Rieker (Drew) and Julie Pavlish (Vincent); and her siblings, Jeannie Alterio-Karpenko, Paul Karpenko (Patty), Andrew Karpenko (Jenny), and Anna Bott (Mark). A memorial service will be held later in the summer to honor her life. To celebrate her love of reading and inquisitive mind, the family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to The Billings Public Library.
