Bob had a long happy productive life from 1923 to 2015. After graduating from Senior High, he joined the Navy Flight training program at the University of Iowa where he met his future wife Virginia Foster. After he received his Navy wings from Pensacola Florida he went directly to Osceola Iowa where he and Virginia were married on May 10, 1947 and they spent the next 68 years together.

He joined his father and brother Don in the Cantrell Real Estate office in Billings and then he went to Marshal Salisbury Agency and finally to Cantrell Salisbury Agency where he remained for the next 40 years.

Bob was instrumental in purchasing the land where the Billings Rod and Gun club stands today. He was past president of the board of realtors. Bob was the Exhalted Ruler of the Billings Elk club from1961-1962 and was a member of the Laurel Golf Club, Toastmasters Club, and the Roaring 20’s old car club with his 1914 model T.

Bob and Virginia were blessed with two boys Gary and Tom. They enjoyed many years together fishing and hunting.

He is survived by his wife Virginia, sons Gary (Pat), Tom (Beth), three grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was very fond of all of his nephews and nieces. He had many close and dear friends.
