SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — Robert Donald Dobias, son of Robert and Mary, passed away Nov. 21, 2010, at the age of 57.
Bob was born Sept. 24, 1953, in Sidney, Mont. He was raised in Bountiful, in the Val Verda area, and attended Viewmont High School. On Nov. 21, 1980, Bob married Lynn Bullock and they had two wonderful children, Allen and Tana. Bob and Lynn later divorced, but remained close friends.
Bob was employed by Delta Airlines for over 20 years, retiring in 2005. During those years they enjoyed many vacations as a family.
He worked as a base operations manager for PHOS-CHEK in Billings for the past three summers, returning to Scottsdale for the winters.
Bob was a kind, soft-spoken person and well-liked by all who knew him. He enjoyed reading, spending endless hours on his computer and soaking up the Arizona sun.
Bob is survived by his son Allen of Herriman, Utah; and daughter Tana of Ogden, Utah; two grandsons, Carson and Mason of Utah; his parents, Robert and Mary Dobias; sisters Cheri (Steve) Corson, Debbie (Jim) Tabbert, and Cindy (Dave) Metzger, all of Billings. He had many nieces and nephews.
Bob was preceded in death by his younger brother Steve.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 2, at the Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 N. Main St., Bountiful, Utah, where friends and family may gather Wednesday, Dec. 1, from 7 to 8 p.m., and Thursday one hour prior to services.
