Robert Kenneth Anderson died peacefully on April 19, 2011, at the age of 88 in Billings.
Born Nov. 3, 1922, in Wolf Point, to Hans and Inga Anderson, Robert attended college in Billings and then later began farming on the family farm north of Wolf Point. In 1951 Robert married Wanda "Dorrayne" Hill and was the third of the Anderson brothers to wed one of the "Hill" sisters. After retiring from the farm, Robert and Dorrayne moved to Kalispell until they moved to Billings in 2007.
Robert is survived by Dorrayne who currently lives in Billings; he was the father of three children, Richard (Vickie) Anderson of Billings, Craig Anderson (who passed away in 1989) and Laurie Anderson of Portland, Ore.; his sister, Irene Erickson of Wolf Point; three granddaughters; one grandson; two great-grandsons; one great-granddaughter; four nieces; six nephews and a daughter-in-law Tacy Strand of Wolf Point.
While the three kids were growing up, Robert K. (as he was known by all of the kids' classmates) followed all of the football and basketball that the boys were involved in. There was never any doubt that Robert and Dorrayne would always be in the bleachers on the away games. In fact, many times, they were the only ones in the seats from Wolf Point. Robert enjoyed his wonderful great-grandkids, playing suduko and watching the Griz on TV.
Cremation was at Dahl Funeral Chapel in Billings. No services will be held per Robert's request. Memories may be shared with the family at www.dahlfuneralchapel.com
