Our dear uncle, cousin, friend and neighbor, Robert Karman, 91, passed away Sunday, April 3, 2011, peacefully at his beloved ranch, with his family by his side. He was born in Melstone on Dec. 22, 1919, and spent his entire life on the homestead northwest of Custer.
Preceding him in death are his father Martin Karman and his mother Annie Susedik Karman, brother John Karman, sister Elsie Nebel Bearrow and nephew Marty Nebel.
Survivors are his niece, LuAnn Rohrer of Shepherd; his nephew, Tracey Bearrow of Billings; grandnieces Kristy Brewer of Helena, Kathy (Brett) Peck of Shepherd and Steve Rohrer; and grandnephew Steve Rohrer Jr. (Zorana) of the family ranch and great-grandnieces who gave him joy and fits of laughter, Samantha Brewer, Madison and Emily Peck, Nicole Rohrer; and great-grandnephew Devron Brewer.
Bob spent his entire life on the family homestead and never married. He was a hard worker and honest man, and a handshake was as good as gold. The brandings always brought friends and family.
To all who knew our dear uncle, they will know why the services will be held at a later date after calving season.
