YUMA, Ariz. — Roberta Kay Schultz passed away Feb. 2, 2019 at her winter home in Yuma, Arizona, with beauty, grace and at peace. Kay was born Dec. 12, 1937 in Billings, the first of five children of Robert and Dora Holly Mees. She was preceeded in death by her parents and brother Jerry Mees. She is survived by Richard Schultz, her husband and companion for 34 years; her daughter Holly Scott; her son Darrel Scott; her brothers Daniel and Rainie Mees, William and Leslie Mees, Kim and Vicki Mees; and stepchildren Daniel and Denise Schultz, Donald and Robin Schultz, Tom and LLoie Schultz, Gaylon and Kathy Schultz, Guy Schultz, Paul and Sheri Schultz, Peter and Mischell Schultz and Jennifer and Al Heber.
Kay attended school in Sarpy Creek, Rosebud and graduated from high school in Hardin. She worked for Burlington Northern Railroad in Forsyth, Laurel, Billings, Minneapolis, Minnesota and Fargo, North Dakota, for 26 years. She retired at the age of 62 and she and Richard moved to Absarokee and lived there for 15 years, moving to a home on a lake near Park Rapids, Minnesota. in 2014.
Kay loved to travel. She visited almost every state, RVing during the winter months for 19 years. She also traveled Europe for seven months.
A celebration of life will be held at the Forsyth Cemetery starting at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 20, 2019 followed by a family and friends get together at the Stevenson Funeral Home.
Kay is greatly missed by her family.
