Mom’s season has ended, her last garden and flower has been planted.
Ruth M. Hein, age 85, of Billings, passed away on April 9, 2011.
Ruth was born on Dec. 22, 1925, to John Vashler and Marie (Kessler) Vashler in Billings. Ruth lived on farms with her parents and, after her marriage on May 9, 1948, to Raymond A. Hein, moved to a farm west of Billings that they purchased in 1953.
Raymond and Ruth had three children: Beverly Ann, Kenneth Richard and Dennis Ray. Ruth is survived by son Kenneth and his wife Charlotte and their sons Brian and Glen; son Dennis and his sons Daniel and Brandt of Sedalia, Colo. Also surviving are her sister, Jeanette Wittman; brother John Vashler; sisters-in-law Marie Hein and Shirley Vashler; and three great-grandchildren, Aurora Hein, Xavier Hein and Cassidy Hein; as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Beverly Ann; her husband, Raymond; her brother, Reuben; and her granddaughter-in-law, Ginny Hein.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 14, at Pilgrim Congregational Church, with interment at Mountview Cemetery.
