Sally N. Dietz, 76, of Highlands Ranch, Colorado, formerly of Billings, passed away at the Denver Hospice, Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2019, with her family by her side. She went to the Lord after a two-year battle with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) disease.
Sally was born on Sept. 10, 1943, in Billings, to Dan Zeiler and Lydia (Heinrich) Zeiler. She married Morris Dietz on Nov. 5, 1960.
Sally was a full-time mother while her kids were young, then gained employment in Life Care of Reno as a dietician aide for many years. She loved her job and her coworkers, who were her extended family.
Sally was married for 45 years to Morris Dietz, who passed away in September of 2003. She was also preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by brother and sister-in-law, Larry and JoEllen Zeiler of Butte; son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Alice Dietz of Highlands Ranch; son Jerry of Highlands Ranch; son and daughter-in-law Ricky and Tina of Reno, Nevada; daughter and son-in-law Tammy and Kevin Goetze in Minden, Nevada; grandchildren Danny, Richard, Brittany, Felicia, Jeremy, Emily, Allie and Jacob Dietz; and her beloved puppy Oreo. They were the light of her day.
Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 17, at Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary, 1001 Alderson Ave., and from 9 a.m. to 12 noon, Monday, Feb. 18, with a small chapel service beginning at 12 noon, followed by a graveside service at 1 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donation be made to ALS Association Rocky Mountain Chapter in Denver, the organization that had greatly helped Sally and family go through with this illness in the past two years.
