HARDIN — Selma Marjorie Struck, 70, of Hardin, passed away Sept. 25, 2012, in the St. Vincent Hospital.
She was born June 20, 1942, in Hardin, a daughter of Christian and Margaret Blansky Schmidt. She grew up in the north valley and attended schools in Hardin, graduating in 1960.
Selma was united in marriage with Richard Struck on July 8, 1961, and the couple made their home in Hardin. She regularly attended and volunteered at the Christ E & R Church. She worked as an agent for several local insurance companies. Selma was an excellent cook, who loved to host dinner parties for her family and friends. She enjoyed the outdoors, hiking, fishing, camping and working in her yard.
Her parents and daughter Delphine preceded Selma in death.
Survivors include her loving husband, Dick; her daughters Tracey (Bert) Peters and Brenda (Mike) Meadows; her son Russel (Sandy) Struck; her sister Peggy Chavez; her brother Chris Schmidt; her grandchildren Brittany, Brandon, Julie, Kris, Ryan and Jordan; her great-grandchildren Reata, Cash and Carter; and her stepmother Pauline Schmidt.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, in the Christ E & R Church. Private inurnment will be held in the Fairview Cemetery. Bullis Mortuary has been entrusted with the arrangements.
