GLENDIVE — Theresa Marie Jones, age 75, of Glendive, passed away on Monday, Jan. 17, 2005, at the Glendive Medical Center Extended Care Facility.

A vigil service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 20, at the Chapel of the Silvernale-Silha Funeral Home in Glendive. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 21, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Glendive, with Father Joseph Ponessa officiating. Rite of Committal will be in the Dawson County Cemetery in Glendive. Silvernale-Silha Funeral Home of Glendive is entrusted with arrangements.

Theresa was born on July 1, 1929, in Wibaux, the daughter of Ralph H. and Loretta (Lynch) Jones. She was raised and educated in Wibaux until the family moved to Glendive in 1943. Theresa graduated from Dawson County High School with the class of 1947. She started working at Montana Dakota Utilities until 1956, when she moved to Seattle, where she worked for Boeing and the Seattle World's Fair. In 1962, Theresa moved to San Francisco, where she worked for Chevron until her retirement. She returned to Glendive in 1992, where she has resided since.

Theresa enjoyed quilting and needlework. She was a life member of Catholic Daughters and Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, a member of the Quilter's Guild, Friends of the Library and the Elks Does.

Theresa was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Jim and John.

Survivors include her sisters, Audré Avilla and Marilyn Harkins and her husband Scotty, all of Glendive; her brothers, Bill Jones and his wife Gloria of Missoula and Bob Jones and his wife Ricki of Robins, Iowa; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
