Wilena D. Cooper, age 89, passed away Dec. 2, in Billings at Saint John’s Lutheran Home.
She was born Jan. 9, 1929 in American Falls, Idaho and was a lifelong resident of Billings. She was the daughter of Willard B. Fields and Lena Frances Gage Fields. She was the wife of the late John C. Cooper. They were married for 32 years and she will be interred with her late husband at Mountview Cemetery in Billings.
Wilena was a resident at Saint John’s Lutheran Home and was always active in the church. She was a bookkeeper at Billings Storage and Warehouse Company for 42 years and retired from Baker Transfer and Storage Company.
She was active in Disabled American Veterans and the American Legion while John was alive. Wilena was active in Church Women United, RSVP, the Museum of Women’s History, the church at Saint John’s Lutheran Home, and First Baptist Church.
She is survived by her stepchildren, nieces, nephews, and great friends who all loved her.
A memorial service will be held at the First Baptist Church in Billings at 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 10.
