William R. Polly Jr. passed away suddenly at home with his beloved dog Mihon by his side. Bill was a man of few words, had a huge heart and was generous to all who knew him.
Bill was born in Billings to William R. Sr. and Florence Polly. He graduated Billings Central High School, 1959, where he was a standout athlete on the basketball court and football field for the Rams. He graduated Carroll College (Helena) in 1964 and married his high school sweetheart, Lynne Sheridan. He went to work for Travelers Insurance Company in Grand Rapids, Mich. and returned with his family to Billings in 1983 where he continued his work in insurance with Farmers before his retirement.
Bill is survived by his son, Todd Polly (Dannielle), Port Angeles, Wash; Julie Evans (Dave Evans MD) Rapid City, S.D.; and eight beautiful grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Jana Polly; and his wife of 46 years, Lynne Polly.
