Diabetics and their families can learn to prepare healthy foods with less sugar at a hands-on cooking class on Tuesday, July 17.

Bernice Mason, Montana State University/Yellowstone County extension agent, will also tell how to prepare favorite recipes to fit a diabetic meal plan and how to increase menu options and enjoy cooking more.

The hands-on class, “Cooking for the Diabetic,” is 6:30-9 p.m. at Peace Lutheran Church on the corner of 13th Street West and Avenue D.

The workshop’s $10 cost includes cost of food preparation and recipes. Pre-registration is required.
