This Sunday is once again Food Bank Sunday, a time to gather food and funds for the Billings Food Bank.

New and expanding services lead to a variety of needs. An example is the sack lunch street outreach and youth programs. Lunch meats, sliced cheese, small bags of chips or other "go-withs," like individual size fruits, pudding (etc.), fresh fruits and vegetables, sandwich bags and sack lunch bags, are needed.

Fresh fruits and vegetables, fresh eggs, milk and margarine are also items needed for assistance to families, seniors and youth programs. While items requiring refrigeration should not be left in the food bank barrels, they can be delivered to the food bank, or call for pickup.

The Billings Food Bank can also use all the fresh produce that's available. Beef, pork, chicken, turkey and other fresh meats are always needed.
